I remember Miss Marshall as the English Teacher who wore Birkenstocks sandals year round, with everything that she wore. And Miss Marshal was the most fantastic english teacher that the RLHS system ever had in my opinion. She encouraged me to write, helped me to understand english and how to comprehend complex writing. But Miss Marshall went beyond all those things. She helped me to have compassion for others; she made sure that we all understood that horrible things can happen even to good people by showing us movies that only now are starting to show up on the History Channel regarding World War II. We who shared her time in class learned things there that we will never forget. And I still promise, if I can find her, to send her the first copy of my book when I finally get the thing written.
